Pode levar a complica\u00e7\u00f5es que provocam debilidade,\u00a0paralisia e at\u00e9 a morte de pessoas infectadas. Desde 2015 tem sido foco de trabalhos de preven\u00e7\u00e3o e controle entre IF Baiano e Prefeitura Municipal de Santa In\u00eas.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" align=\"justify\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Algumas a\u00e7\u00f5es\u00a0desenvolvidas pelo IF Baiano <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Campus<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\"> Santa In\u00eas sobre Esquistossomose Mans\u00f4nica:<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Realiza\u00e7\u00e3o de dois Trabalhos de Conclus\u00e3o de Curso de Licenciatura em Ci\u00eancias Biol\u00f3gicas;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Dois projetos de pesquisa escritos;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Instala\u00e7\u00e3o do Laborat\u00f3rio de Parasitologia no IF Baiano Campus Santa In\u00eas;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Realiza\u00e7\u00e3o dos exames para diagn\u00f3stico de <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\"><i>Schistosoma <\/i><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\">para a popula\u00e7\u00e3o de Santa In\u00eas no Laborat\u00f3rio de Parasitologia do IF Baiano <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\"><i>Campus<\/i><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\"> Santa In\u00eas;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Estabelecimento de Acordo de Coopera\u00e7\u00e3o T\u00e9cnica, Cient\u00edfica e Cultural entre o IF Baiano e a Prefeitura Municipal de Santa In\u00eas desde 2016 (DOU n\u00ba 196 de 11\/10\/2016) que funciona como N\u00facleo de Ensino, Pesquisa e Extens\u00e3o para Controle de Esquistossomose no Territ\u00f3rio do Vale do Jequiri\u00e7\u00e1;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif\"><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Raliza\u00e7\u00e3o do I Workshop de Sa\u00fade sobre Parasitologia que contou com participa\u00e7\u00e3o de Dr Ronald Blanton (Ohio, EUA), Dr. L\u00facio e Dra.
